WHAT IS THIS!?

Another thing for
:iconred-bow-and-cap:'s 20-Theme Challenge thingy.

Berserk: Do you want a smoothie, Brickie dear?
Brick: Ugh. Sure. Whatever. *rolls eyes*

Blossom: *squeeze* Grr...
Buttercup: Gah! :iconanimeangryplz: Hey, Blossom!
Bubbles: Oh no!

I hope this conveys jealousy well haha. Look at Blossom, barely holding back her feelings... And taking it out on a poor smoothie, which in turn splashes all over Buttercup. Oops!
And what, pray tell, is the object of Blossom's jealusy? Brick and Berserk, of course! :iconheplz:

Berserk knows that the PPG are at the smoothies place, so in an attempt to agitate Blossom, she invites Brick to get a smoothie while the two groups run into one another at the mall. Brick is only with Berserk for a school project, but she dragged him to the mall and is acting like he's her boyfriend. He's not so happy about that, but is putting up with her anyway (he also doesn't notice Blossom's obvious jealousy). xD

I tried something new with this picture...or not really NEW, but slightly different. I coloured them pretty much ALL in felt, except for Brick's pants and their skin. The background, in contrast, is primarily done in pencil crayon. And don't ask what mall has blue walls: I just needed the bg to "POP" a little more. And there's no white shine in their eyes this time around lol... ^^;
Conveniently, I had three shades of orange for three shades of hair. Or rather...I used a "dark-yellow" for Blossom's hair, but it's actually like a shade of orange. Then I used a slightly darker shade for Berserk (which I used to shade Bloss' hair), and an even darker shade of orange for Brick (which I used to shade Berserk's hair). Then I shaded Brick's hair with red. :D

Hope you guys enjoy this scene; despite the Puffs, Punks, and Ruffs probably not-so-happy encounter. :icontwilightshrugplz:

Storytime!:

His thoughts were crashing into one another, each one more agitated than the next. His body was screaming at him to tear his arm away from hers and run off into the crowd, but somehow he couldn't bring himself to do it. He glanced at the girl beside him: her spiky red hair cascaded down her shoulders as she smirked like she had just struck the lottery. Her hair was tied back by a ribbon with curled ends, and she was dressed in clothing that would get her in trouble at school (although she'd wear it anyway).
"Brick," she was saying as she moved her red lips, "it's so great to be working together on this project, huh?"
"Yeah." His tone was flat and unwelcoming, but she either didn't notice or didn't care.
"We'll have so much fun working together," she crooned.
If only we were actually working, Brick replied bitterly in his mind. He was frustrated that they weren't working on their work; even a slacker like him had his limits. Brick was an intelligent male and he would always aim for an A—even if he didn't work very hard.
And yet here he was: his project partner was dragging him through the halls of the mall, her hot-pink eyes gleaming. "You know, it's nice to be with you alone."
Brick shuddered; then shuddered at himself shuddering. Letting out a strangled sigh, Brick managed to say, "Berserk, maybe we should go back—"
Berserk sighed almost in defeat at Brick's persistence to go back to work, but then she spotted three familiar shapes up ahead. They were a trio of people; people whom she wouldn't mind bothering at the moment. "No; I know this perfect place for a snack! I can't work without a snack, you know." She smiled charmingly at Brick, which to him looked like the dangerous smile of a hungry siren.
"If you say so—"
"I do say so! Now let's go." She gave his arm one final tug as they plunged into the crowded mall cafeteria.

"Blossom, give it a rest will you?" The dark-haired girl rolled her eyes as she paid for the smoothie in her hand.
Blossom glared at her sister as she dug around in her pockets for cash. "Excuse me for being concerned."
"He'll be okay," another girl said, handing a few crumpled bills to the confused man behind the counter. "Berserk's probably not going to pull a move on him...probably. I mean, she probably wants to finish their project...probably. Right?" She smiled weakly, her blue eyes sheepish at her bad attempt to comfort Blossom.
Flushing red, Blossom slammed her money onto the counter. This made the poor worker cower in fear as a dent formed in the table—thanks to Blossom's superpowers. "That's not why I'm worried!"
"Of course it isn't," the first girl muttered, rolling her eyes as she followed Blossom away.
The other girl apologized to the worker for the damage before hurrying to catch up. She could hear the two arguing girls' voices clearly even though she was a few ways off. When she caught up, she heard Blossom being defensive:
"It isn't! I swear, Buttercup!" Blossom insisted, her cheeks fiery as she stalked away from the counter. "I just think Berserk will prevent Brick from finishing his project, and he desperately needs to raise his grade!"
"And I take it that if you were his partner, he'd be doing much better?" Buttercup raised an eyebrow.
"Yes! Well—I don't know, okay!?" Blossom felt frustrated.
Buttercup's lips turned up in a half-smile. "Face it, Bloss—you're just jealous."
"Am not!"
"Are too."
"Am not!"
"Are—"
"Guys, wait!" The blue-eyed girl interrupted their quarrel as she pointed into the crowd.
"What is it, Bubbles? I was just about to get her," Buttercup said sarcastically, following her blond sister's gaze.
Blossom had already caught the two people Bubbles was pointing out, and her mouth dropped open.
Berserk was walking toward them, her arm wrapped around Brick's like a bag of some kind. She met eyes with Blossom and this smug expression crossed her face at the idea of an encounter.
"Sh-She's with...him," spluttered Blossom in disbelief. Her fingers tightened around her smoothie.
From a distance, Berserk sensed Blossom's heated jealousy. Brick hadn't seen the pink Puff or her sisters yet, so Berserk decided to play around a little. She turned to Brick and smiled. "Do you want a smoothie, Brickie dear?"
"Ugh. Sure. Whatever." Brick rolled his eyes.
Meanwhile, Blossom growled lowly. She completely squeezed her smoothie cup until it forced all of her drink to splash into the air. This splattered all over Buttercup, and the green Puff let out an exclaim of indignation: "Gah! Hey, Blossom!"
"Oh no!" gasped Bubbles, concerned.
Berserk met eyes with Blossom again, smug and satisfied with the reaction she had managed to force out of her goody-two-shoes counterpart.
Buttercup, having had enough, decided to get Brick's attention. "Blossom," she exclaimed loudly, emphasizing her sister's name. "Look what you did!" She gestured at herself.
Blossom turned and stared in confusion, before realizing her sister was covered in dripping pink mush. "Oops; sorry," she managed to say.
But Buttercup wasn't done. "I can't believe you!"
Buttercup's loud complaining caught Brick's attention. His red eyes drew in the scene, until his mind fully registered that Blossom was within his vision. He raised an eyebrow.
"Let's get a smoothie now," Berserk suggested, her own eyes never leaving the Powerpuff trio. She wasn't stupid; she knew what Buttercup was planning. However, Berserk had no desire to give Brick up, so she tried tugging his arm again. "Come on."
"Wait." Brick took a few steps toward the Puffs, his heart beating faster—and he didn't know why. Somehow, seeing Blossom struck a chord within him.
"Brick!!" cried Berserk, exasperated. But when the red Ruff set his mind on something, he couldn't be stopped. And he was certainly not going to let a girl who was interested in seducing him drag him away from his friends—where she couldn't do any real seducing.
"Hey," Brick called.
Blossom froze, in the middle of wiping Buttercup's face. She spun around, cheeks flaming red in embarrassment. Despite her wet and uncomfortable condition, Buttercup smirked victoriously at Berserk. The Punk leader let a look of annoyance cross her face. She hugged Brick's arm a little tighter, as if that made him hers.
"H-Hi," stammered Blossom.
"I see you're kinda busy—" Brick began.
"Yeah, maybe we should go." Berserk attempted to drag Brick away, but Bubbles jumped up first.
"Oh no, it's fine!" the blue Puff said cheerfully. "I'll take BC to the washroom to get cleaned up. Don't worry, Blossom—you stay here." She gently nudged Buttercup toward the public washroom. When Blossom sent her sister a look of panic, Bubbles just winked back.
The three reds remained standing awkwardly.
"Hey, we still have to get smooth—" Berserk tried again.
Brick nodded. "I see you're without a smoothie, Bloss. I can buy you one."
"There's really no need—"
"It's the least I can do."
And with that, Brick marched straight to the counter with the nervous worker, who prepared three more drinks. After paying, Brick joined the two silent (and glaring at one another) girls. He passed them their strawberry-flavoured drinks. "I got you guys strawberry. Hope you like it."
"I like anything you like." Berserk smiled.
Brick gave her a funny look.
"Mmm, thanks; I love strawberry." Blossom relaxed a little when she saw Brick's reaction at Berserk's attempt to flirt. She took the cold drink and sipped.
Brick nodded at her, smiling slightly.
Berserk's smile turned into an annoyed sneer. She decided to pounce on Blossom: "Brick and I, as in us, are working together on a project," she said coldly.
Blossom bristled. "I know."
Berserk continued, determined to both annoy Blossom and enforce the "fact" that Brick was hers: "This event has certainly brought us closer together, if you know what I mean." She gave Brick a flutter of her eyelashes, leaning in. "Right, Brickie dear?"
His irritation deepened as he pushed his chair back to keep away from Berserk's too-red lips. He sent Blossom a look of "help me".
Blossom took a deep breath, gently taking Brick's arm in hers. "Oh, really? We're quite close too, you know."
"Really?" Berserk narrowed her eyes at the pink Puff's contact with Brick. She let out a sneer. "I don't think Brick like likes stuffy, uptight girls like you who don't even know how to have a good time."
Blossom's eyes flashed. "Excuse me?"
"You heard me." Berserk eyed her angry counterpart. "Oh, what's wrong, Bloss? Jealous?"
"No!" exclaimed Blossom.
"I'm so much better for Brick," Berserk said, satisfied that she'd gotten under Blossom's skin. "He likes girls like me, who like to take risks."
Brick raised an eyebrow.
"He's mine, okay? Back off," Blossom retorted in a moment of defiance.
Brick's eyebrow raised further.
"Yours? Don't make me laugh."
"Well, he's certainly not yours, either."
"Brick doesn't like girls like you!"
"Oh, so he likes girls like you?"
"Girls like me have flair!"
"And there's nothing wrong with girls like me!"
"Brick wouldn't like a boring girl like you!"
"I'm not boring! Besides, how do you know Brick wants a bad girl like you?"
"Uh, duh—I'm hotter than you and way more fun. Of course he'd prefer me."
"I happen to think that he would like practical girls just as much as party ones."
"If it makes you feel better, keep telling yourself that, Pink—keep telling yourself that. I—"
Brick held his hands up, finally having enough. "Whoa, ladies. Listen: I don't belong to anyone. I'm not an object for you two to fight over. That being said—"
"Well, we're way more compatible than you and Blossom," Berserk countered.
"—I don't quite know about that, Berserk." Brick looked her up and down.
Blossom sat up straighter as Berserk's face contorted into one of shock. "What!?" she exclaimed.
Brick stood up, finishing his smoothie. He tossed it into the trash can and picked Blossom up from her seat—piggy-back-style. Berserk was still staring as Brick said: "Come on, you two. Bring your smoothies. We have to meet up with Buttercup and Bubbles."
"Brick, put me down! I can walk on my own." Blossom's face was red.
Brick smirked as he set her down. She steadied herself, a little dizzy and amazed by his actions. He leaned over slightly and petted her affectionately, before flicking her on the forehead. That seemed to steady Blossom completely. As Berserk's expression continued to remain frozen in shock, Brick smiled at Blossom. "There's no need to be jealous, Bloss. I happen to like you plenty."

I always loved Blossick and whenever Blossom gets jealous when her new rival flirts with the boys she loves.
